The heat was up, the water breaks were back and the Carlow senior camogie championship moved into round two over the weekend.
Having played out a 2-07 apiece drawn game last Monday night, both Naomh Bríd and Myshall showed a fierce hunger for goals on Saturday.
For Naomh Bríd, they hit the back of the net five times on the way to a 5-10 to 1-08 win over Ballinkillen while Myshall picked up a 4-13 to 0-09 victory over Mount Leinster Rangers.
In the other game of the weekend, Muinebheag got their first points on the board as St. Mullins slipped to a second straight defeat, that one finishing 1-07 to 1-06.
