Carlow Camogie U16’s prepare for All Ireland Final battle with Kildare

Carlow Camogie U16

Carlow Under-16 Camogie selector Ger Power is extremely confident they will gain revenge for their opening round defeat to Kildare and defeat their neighbours in Sunday’s All-Ireland Under-16 Roinn C Final.

The venue for the game has been confirmed as Radley Park, Leixlip on Sunday, August 14th at 3.00pm.

Speaking to KCLR, Ger says they have improved immensely throughout their All-Ireland campaign……

“This team has improved so much during the course of the competition. I have no doubt about it that these girls will go on and win this All-Ireland on Sunday”

“Kildare beat us by 7 points, but they were actually only beating us by three points with I’d say 4 or 5 minutes to go, but that was our first game back after the Junior Cert and all”.

“Didn’t really get much preparation of training or anything like that. Ever since Mary and Elaine(selectors) in there now, and Mary does a lot of the training work with the girls and that, and it’s just fantastic. The improvement in every week and they are really up for this game, and that’s one thing I can tell you”
