Former Carlow and Eire Og Senior Football goalkeeper John Kearns says they can take plenty of positives out of their Division 3 League campaign despite not getting the results they were hoping for in some of the games.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s clash against Laois, John says they have been unlucky.
He said “It’s been clear on Media Circles all over have been that definitely the poor refereeing has paid a price so far, but the only consolation at the moment I suppose is the fact tha survival in Division 3 is still in our own hands, and like while it won’t be easy over there, we can still go ahead and do it so it’s down to ourselves really”.
“It won’t be easy, they have been very very unlucky to be fair, they have been very very unlucky. Overall, it’s been a good year, take the refereeing out of it, they should have had a draw last weekend, it hasn’t been too bad, it has been a good experience for them and hopefully we can cling on now and stay in Division 3 for another season”.
