Former Carlow and Eire Og Senior goalkeeper John Kearns says they are capable of getting a result in Portlaoise on Sunday against Laois which will enhance their prospects of Division 3 survival.
Speaking to KCLR, John says it’s going to be a tough ask to get a result against one of the form teams.
He said “The ball is in our own court really. If we can go there and play well and get a result which we can do of course as well then survival is guaranteed, but it won’t be easy like Laois are still there”.
“Laois have had a great campaign after coming from Division 4 last year, they know that a win on Sunday keeps them in the hunt for promotion to Division Two next year so they have plenty to play for as well, so it will be a very good game and hopefully things can go our way. If we can get a point that should even do it anyway”.
