Former Carlow footballer and current county strength and conditioning coach Kieran Nolan is excited by the possibilities that may lay ahead for Carlow football.

Carlow were punished by a clinical Offaly side last weekend, a result that seen an end to Niall Carew’s ( Who will be on KCLR Saturday Scoreline from 4pm this weekend) Championship drive. However there was alot of positive’s to take from the performance.

Speaking with KCLR The proud Fighting Cocks man seemed in a good spirits despite the defeat.

“There’s alot of new lads on the team getting their first championship involvement. Those lads will only improve in the current environment that’s there for them to developm, it will only bring them on.”

After serving Carlow well for so many turbulent years as a player, Nolan was thrilled to come back in a coaching capacity.

“I’m delighted to be back involved with Carlow, hopefully we will be able to develop this team in the next few years, there’s alot of lads starting off in their early twenties, so alot of development work looking forward to competing at division three and hopefull division two level”

Speaking of Fighting Cock Gaelic Football Club they have decided to set up a go fund me page to help fund works on going at the club. If you wish to contribute you can do so here
