The draw for this year’s Joe McDonagh Cup has been made with Carlow finding home in Group A alongside Westmeath and last year’s Christy Ring Cup champions, Kildare.
Group B comprises beaten 2021 finalists Kerry, Meath and Down.
Each team will have one home and one away game with the top team in each group playing in the final. Promotion to the Leinster Hurling Championship for 2022 awaits the winner.
The bottom team in each group contest playoff and the loser shall be relegated to the Christy Ring Cup in 2022.
