Palatine Senior Football Captain Jason Kane says that this years Carlow Championship can be won by anybody.

Palatine played Tinryland in the first round of the Championship at Netwatch Cullen Park which resulted in a win for the side.

And speaking to KCLR, Jason says that the structure of the competition gives every team a reasonable chance of success…..

“Anyone of those teams are going to fancy their chances of winning the championship, there’s probably nothing between, out of the eight teams, nothing between all of them”

“Theres no team that’s not going to fancy their chances of winning a championship, its so open, one win will get you into a quarter final”

“Rathvilly a few years ago won one game in the group and went on to win thew championship, even the teams that lost are still in with a shout”

“Its very competitive and everyone is coming for us, so we have to be as good as we can be and if its good enough its good enough”.
