Carlows footballers will be looking for their first win of the League on Sunday as they play London at home.

They got off to a good start again Westmeath last weekend but even by their own standards thought they should have won the game but it ended up in a draw.

Darragh Foley says their strength and conditioning in training is paying off and they are gaining belief they can win games…..

“Yeah, Damien Sheehan and Stevie Poacher and the lads are doing great work with us at the minute with strength and conditioning work, and it is starting to pay off”

“It’s just the boys, it really is the belief that they are after instilling in us that listen we can go and win these games and eventually get out of this Division”

“If you are looking at it through the Division 4, every game is a tough game, very hard to get wins especially, we really want to set down a tone at home, get good home form and next weekend hopefully we will do that against London”

Darragh says there are disappointed they didn’t get the victory against Westmeath in Sundays National Football League clash and says they have plenty to work on ahead of their home game next Sunday.

“We were expecting to come up (to Westmeath) and get a result, that’s the mindset that’s been put it into us”

“(We) really wanted to get a good start, and we got a good start. Westmeath are probably going to be one of the toughest teams on the road this year after been in two Leinster Finals so listen all in all we are happy that we got the result, but we are a little bit disappointed as players that we didn’t get the win”

“We had a lot of possession, we kicked a few wides in the first-half, they are all things we can work on so get it going again for London next weekend”
