Ballon held on for dear life and a one point win in the senior football league Div 3 final yesterday as they denied Eire Og a second trophy in twenty four hours.
It finished Ballon 1-9 Eire Og 0-11.
Asca and O’Hanrahans had to go to extra time to sort out the div 4 semi-final replay in the end they edged out the Deerpark men by three points, it finished Asca 1-18, O’Hanrahans 2-12.
Long Puck
Damian Jordan of Naomh Eoin is the new Carlow Long Puck Champion when he defeated last year’s winner Mark Ryan of St. Mullins by just one stroke high on the slopes of Sliabh Bawn Mt. Leinster yesterday evening.
Kevin Curran of St. Mullins won the under 16 competition.
Tracey McNally of Naomh Brid was crowned camogie long puck champion defeating last year’s winner Eimear Byrne by a single shot.
Aine Behan of Myshall is the under 16 champion.
The winners were presented with their trophies by Ger Lennon Co Secretary and Des Shaw GDA and go forward to represent Carlow in the Leinster Final on the Hill of Howth.
