Carlow Senior Hurler of the Year Chris Nolan says the extra training they are doing shows how ambitious they are as a group.

KCLR Sport caught up with him after receiving his award at Saturday’s Carlow Sports Award.

Chris says they are enjoying the extra work they are doing in training as they attempt to battle out with the Country’s best.

He said “We are an ambitious group of players, We are never happy with what we have, We always want more and to win more and I suppose that’s what makes us the great team we are at the moment”.

Speaking about playing teams at a higher level this season he told KCLR “We are going to have to put that extra little bit of effort with nutrition and with fitness, but we enjoy it, and we wouldn’t be doing it if we didnt enjoy it so we love it”
