The Joe McDonagh Cup Team of the Year was named on Monday evening.

It saw Chris Nolan as the sole Carlow representative named on the side with Westmeath leading the way in the way with seven players honoured.

Kerry has three representatives on the team, Down have two, and Meath, Carlow, and Kildare have one each.

Westmeath’s Tommy Doyle was named the Joe McDonagh Cup Hurler of the Year after a fine campaign that saw the Lough Lene Gaels club-man produce a series of storming displays at centre-back for the Lake County.
