Carlow Senior Hurler Marty Kavanagh says the draw at home to Galway will count for nothing unless they get results over the next three weekends to achieve their target of consolidating their status in Division 1B.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Saturday evening’s game away to Waterford, Marty says they still have a lot of work to do.
He said “No one likes moral victories and I suppose we are fairly sick of it over the last two years when we fell short against the likes of Galway and these team however it was a great to get a result against Galway”.
“We are definitely not getting carried away, at the end of the day, that draw against Galway is no good if we don’t stay in Division 1B so that’s not achieved at the moment, we have a long way to go yet before we can go where we want to be so we have three big games now in three weeks, and we are looking now to get enough points as we can out of them three games to stay in Division 1B” said Marty.
“If we don’t do that, the Galway game will count for nothing really”.
