Carlow Senior Hurling manager Colm Bonnar says that conceding four goals in the Christy Ring Cup Final is a worry ahead of Sunday’s All-Ireland Qualifier in Laois.
The sides clash in Portlaoise at 3.30 on Sunday.
Speaking to KCLR, Colm says they have learned and adapt as the year has progressed…..
“It’s amazing how players adapt as the year goes on. Antrim had put their head above anyone else. Obviously, we have played them a few times”
“They beat us in the Division Two Final but we were learning the whole time. When you play teams like that if you don’t learn and adapt, you don’t progress and we learned in terms of been a bit more clinical, getting into better scoring positions”
“We learned in terms of been clinical and working the ball better than we had been so I think that stood to us so and when we got to Croke Park we knew exactly what we had to do and to see them scoring five goals and twenty three points was great scoring, but on the other side we did leave in 4-15 so that is a worry as well”
