Carlow Senior Hurling Manager Colm Bonnar says that beginning their National League campaign in an intimidating venue like Ennis is where they want to be to test themselves against the best.
Speaking to KCLR, Colm says that opposition teams will pay a price if they underestimate them.
He said “Possibly the most intimidating crowd to go to would be Ennis. It’s going to be difficult, but this is where Carlow want to be, we having come from Division 2 up to Division 1B and now in the top tier of Division 1 Hurling”.
“This is where the lads want to play, this is where they want to get tested and we will be making no excuses in terms of the quality of the players that we are coming up against, we expect to be able to compete against them, and if anyone underestimates us or takes us lightly, they will pay a price for it”.
