Colm Bonnar praised Kerry after their win over Carlow which secured them a place in the Joe McDonagh Final.
Carlow were defeated by two points on Saturday, which see’s the Barrowsiders miss out on a possible promotion prize, a fact which Bonnar feels is the worst thing about the loss:
“They (Kerry) had the benefit of the game last week and they felt that disappointment that they felt it was in their own hands, they needed to go up and beat Antrim and their backs were against the wall and they came out fighting” he said.
“They’re a fine hurling team, they’re like ourselves, they work from a small hurling community in Kerry just like Carlow do and both sets of players were very passionate and they gave it everything, that’s hurling”.
