Communication with players the key to introducing new rules says Carlow manager Tom Mullally

Tom Mullally, Carlow Senior Hurling Manager)

We have three live games coming up on KCLR this weekend.

Carlow are out in action in the Allianz Hurling League Division 2A Round 3. They welcome Down to Netwatch Cullen Park on Sunday for a 2 o’clock throw-in as they go in search of their first win. David Herity’s side proved too strong for Tom Mullally’s men in the opening round of the league as the Barrowsiders missed some key players including Marty Kavanagh.

Marty was back for their game against Kerry in the second round. Well for some of it at least, as he was one of two players sent off for Carlow in that clash. Despite going down to 13 men in the second half, there were just two points separating Carlow and Kerry in Austin Stack Park.

Considering the two results in the league, there was positivity from Carlow Manager Tom Mullally when speaking to KCLR Scoreline, as he believes that the results will come;

“Obviously looking at results on paper, you would be looking at what Carlow are at. We are trying to apply ourselves, and get ourselves right as a group and panel.”

“Yeah, the games will come thick and fast, but that is what we want. We want to refine, get the link up play going, try and push to the 70 minutes, and make decisions to win the game in the end.”

“The performances will improve, and as the performances will improve, hopefully, the link-up play improves, and the results will improve.”

Live coverage will be brought to us with thanks to Ray Whelan Waste Management from 2 o’clock.
