Westmeath Minor manager Ian Bradley says both themselves and Carlow served up one of the great Minor Football clashes.
Carlow trailed by six points with only minutes left on the clock but a Jordan Morrissey goal inspired a famous comeback and a 2-12 to 17 points victory.
Speaking after the game, Ian says that fatigue was a factor in their downfall in the closing minutes……
“Yeah, we were on top there I would say from minute two in the second-half, and I think twenty two minutes gone I was just looking, that’s the way football swings”
“They played very well at that stage but I have to compliment both teams, it was an absolutely fabulous game of football. It was as good a game you will see, and the conditions out there was excellent now”
“The heat was extreme out there. You could see in the last 5, 10 minutes, there was a lot I suppose fatigue was coming in as well. That’s the way it goes”
