County Carlow Football Club have launched their brand new jersey for the future at Oak Park. After 142 years of the traditional black and amber hoops, club member Mark Elmes got out the pen and pencil and got the new design which the Senior, Ladies and some of the younger teams will adopt.
The ladies team will stick with the magenta colour but have the same design as the mens.
Leinster Rugby players Bryan and Edward Byrne and Tom Daly were at the launch, all three are former players for the local side and competed at underage for the club.
Carlow Rugby Club President Pat Slater said that the new jerseys will give the Carlow teams a younger more modern appearance and that the Club sponsors will feature on the redesigned jerseys.
Carlow, who are second on the Leinster League Division 2A table face Edenderry at home at Oak Park on Sunday in the Leinster League Division 2A with Carlow Coyotes also in action against Mullingar Heifers.
