After such a long lay off, it seems that many people are just delighted to get to be back out playing sports.

This is certainly evident when it comes to the over 35’s soccer league in Carlow. Over 300 hundred players have signed up making up a total of 16 teams from five separate counties. The tournament is set to run for eight weeks and starts this Friday & continues on Saturday.

Here are the games that will kick the season off :

Seniors Over 35 League Division 1 2021

25/06 St. Annes Ballylinen v Crettyard United

26/06 Killeshin v Carnew FC

26/06 St. Patrick’s Boys v Baltinglass Town

Seniors Over 35 League Division 2 2021

25/06 St. Joseph’s FC v St. Fiacc’s FC

26/06 Fortbarrington FC v Bagenalstown AFC

Crettyard dramatically claimed the first division last time out with a playoff victory over Killeshin after both teams finished the season with 22 points. It was’nt the only succes for the club as they then went onto claimed the double by securing the cup with a penalty shootout victory over Baltinglass.
