Carlow’s Molly Scott has been selected for the European U23 Championships which take place in Tallinn, Estonia July from the 8th to the 11th of July.
She’s one of 30 Irish athletes heading over for the event and she’ll be taking part in the women’s 4x100m relay.
Her team consists of Gina Akpe-Moses, Aoife Lynch, Lauren Roy, and Sarah Leahy.
Molly was in action at the National Track and Field Championships at the weekend in the 100 metres.
She flew out of the blocks in her trademark fast start and ran hard to the line only to be reeled in by Rhasidat Adeleke (Tallaght AC) in the final 20 meters for 11.46.
Selected for the 100m & 4×1 at the European u23s in Estonia! Fun fact..thanks to my coach I have competed at every age group World and European championship I’ve been eligible for since I was 16. Of course the dream is to make an Olympics, but it’s not my time yet. #paris2024 pic.twitter.com/D1tgtbnvkR
