Westmeath Senior Hurling Manager Shane O’Brien says that Carlow are a top class team who will bounce back from their relegation disappointment in the Joe McDonagh Cup campaign.
The two counties will clash once again in Mullingar in the final round of the competition in June which could be a significant game for both counties and speaking to KCLR after Sunday’s game, Shane says Carlow will be contenders in what is going to be a hotly competitive competition.
He said “Carlow are a top class Team. Their is no denying it and I think we are both facing into a very tough Joe McDonagh campaign both Carlow and Westmeath, and all the other counties their is very little between them and their is no doubt, Carlow will be back, make no mistake about it, I am quite sure there as I said, a good top class team”.
