Carlow supporters will be hopeful of a strong campaign in Division 4 of the Allianz National Football League this year.
After an underwhelming league venture in 2022, Niall Carew’s men know the importance of a strong start to give themselves an opportunity to finish in a high position.
That is easier said than done, however, with the bottom tier traditionally proving a very difficult division to navigate through seamlessly.

It all starts on Saturday night when neighbours Wicklow make the trip to Netwatch Cullen Park.
After that, the Barrowsiders first away game of 2023 pits them against Waterford with the SETU Arena playing host to what could potentially be a critical tie.
A two-week break follows that encounter, with Carlow having home advantage when they face Laois in their third outing before back-to-back away days against Leitrim and London respectively.

Their last home fixture in the league comes against Sligo, while they will conclude their league affairs when they meet Wexford at Chadwicks Wexford Park at the end of March.
