Carlow native Aoife Kelly has signed for Shamrock Rovers for the 2023 season.
The Republic of Ireland U17 international was part of the Shelbourne squad that retained their Women’s National League title last season, while they also defeated Athlone Town in the FAI Cup final.
“I am very happy to be signing for Shamrock Rovers Football Club,” Kelly said.
“I am excited and really looking forward to the new season.”
Manager Collie O’Neill expressed his “delight” with the new signing.
“I am delighted Aoife has signed for us.
“She is one of the best young players in the country. She is a tremendously technical player, and I can’t wait to see the impact that she can have on the team.”
Kelly, who is formerly of St Patrick’s Boys FC, has joined the Hoops alongside Irish internationals Stephanie Roche and Aine O’Gorman ahead of the new campaign.
