Carlow’s Ed Byrne has been named among the replacements on the Ireland team to face the Maori All Blacks in Wellington on Tuesday.
Keith Earls is set to captain the side for the first time as Ireland look to bounce back from defeat in Hamilton last time out.
Five uncapped players will start – with Ciaran Frawley, Jimmy O’Brien, Cian Prendergast, Jermey Loughman and Joe McCarthy all handed a chance to impress.
Six of the eight replacements featured in last Saturday’s win against New Zealand, including out-half Joey Carbery and wing Mack Hansen.
The game will be televised by SKY, screening from 8.05am.
