Carlow has kicked off their league campaign with an impressive start, remaining unbeaten in the Division 4 competition.
The Barrowsiders secured a victory over Derry in their opening match and subsequently drew with both Fermanagh and Longford. Their most recent triumph saw them comfortably besting Kilkenny in Tinryland on Sunday, highlighting their promising form in the competition.
However, despite the positive on-field performances, Carlow’s journey has not been without its share of challenges off the pitch. In a recent interview with Scoreline, manager Ed Burke shed light on the difficulties the team faces in securing access to suitable training venues for midweek sessions.
“We’re having a bit of a struggle at the moment with venues. The last two days (training) now, Tuesday and Friday, we haven’t had a venue confirmed for training until 12 o’clock that day. These things are causing us a little bit of hassle in that case. We want a bit of consistency,” Burke expressed, pointing to the logistical challenges impacting the team’s preparations.
Despite the off-field hurdles, the team’s ability to maintain an unbeaten run despite these challenges speaks volumes about their determination and adaptability. The team’s ability to overcome logistical challenges will undoubtedly be a key factor in their pursuit of success in the remainder of the league season.
