Carlow’s incredible journey in the All Ireland Senior Football Championship came to a gallant but unfortunate end at Netwatch Cullen park last night.
A heroic performance saw Turlough O’Brien’s men lead Division 1 High Fliers Monaghan with less than ten minutes to go but a late goal from Fintan Kelly gave the Farney men a 1-12 to 1-7 win.
It was a very exciting game to commentate on and to say I could do with some Strepsils or some form of lozenges today is an understatement!
