Goals from Brian Lennon and Kevin Blanchfield along with a ten point haul from Nicky Cleere gave Bennettsbridge a second round victory over Danesfort in Nowlan Park on Sunday in the St. Canice’s Credit Union Kilkenny Senior Hurling League.
The win makes up for their opening 1-22 to 0-15 defeat at the hands of James Stephens who were beaten in the first of our live games on Sunday afternoon by Dicksboro.
With all three goals coming in the first half, The Bridge went into the break 3-7 to 0-9. Outscored by Danesfort in the second half, they notched up another six points to close out the game 3-13 to 0-17 winners.
