Champion Trainer Willie Mullins says he didn’t think he had any chance of overhauling Gordon Elliott’s lead in the race to the trainers title.
Speaking to KCLR after securing another trainers Championship, Willie says it was the best week he ever had.
“An extraordinary week. You couldn’t write the script I think. I thought going out of here on Tuesday evening, I didn’t have any chance to win the Championship.
“Then Wednesday came and it was like fantasy racing, and the horses have just kept coming since.
“It must rate as the best week we have ever had yes, a fantastic week. I thought we had a little chance, but after throwing away a race on the Tuesday and then Gordon winning it, I thought that was it over,” he said.
