The 2022/23 winter jumps season was launched yesterday at the Closutton stables of 16 times champion National Hunt trainer Willie Mullins.
Mullins tells Dave Keena this time of the year is an exciting one for all National Hunt trainers and he also said he pinches himself at the incredible array of talented horses he has assembled in his yard ;
Every day and every night, going through the yard we realise we do not take anything as a given.”
“We love the fact we have them and realise how lucky we are to have them and have the clients that own them. We have a great team of people between clients, staff, horses, and jockeys. It is just fairytale stuff. It is a wonderful time of year to be around the yard because all the horses are sound and well.”
“Next few weeks now we will be upping their training schedule so hopefully the good ones will get through it.”
The next National Hunt comes to Gowran Park on Saturday November 26th.
