It’s another busy weekend for Kilkenny’s intercounty teams.
On Sunday at 2pm, the senior side play host to Galway in the second round of the Leinster championship.
Derek Lyng’s charges opened their provincial campaign with a comfortable defeat of Westmeath last weekend, while Henry Shefflin witnessed his Galway side come from behind to dispatch of Wexford.
Victory for either side would see them move to the summit of the table and take a big step towards a place in the Leinster final.
We’ll have full live commentary of that game on KCLR with Brendan Hennessy and two-time All-Ireland winner Michael Walsh calling all the action with thanks to Laharts.
Our coverage of the highly anticipated clash is kindly sponsored by Country Style Foods with our build-up beginning at 1.30pm and concluding at 4pm with former Kilkenny player Kieran Joyce.
Before the game itself, we’ll be previewing the match from 5pm on Saturday with Cyril Farrell, Galway Bay FM’s Sean Walsh, and KCLR analyst Michael Walsh.
On Monday at 2pm, the Kilkenny minors face Wexford at UPMC Nowlan Park in the semi-final of the Electric Ireland Leinster Minor Hurling Championship.
We’ll have live commentary of that game with Adrian Ronan and Michael Walsh with thanks to Gerry Comerford Drilling.
Prior to that match, we’ll be catching up with manager Niall Bergin from 4pm on Sunday.
