It’s a massive weekend of hurling action in Kilkenny while Palatine in Carlow are also in Leinster senior football action in Carlow.

Friday – Kilkenny Hurling County Finals Preview Show

We’re broadcasting live from Nowlan Park, Kilkenny, on Friday evening for an extended version of The Way It Is. It’s business as usual from 6 to 6.30pm then it’s down to brass tacks from 6.30pm to 8pm with Adrian Ronan, Michael Walsh and Brendan Hennessy to pick apart Bennettsbridge, Ballyragget, Clara, O’Loughlin Gaels, Glenmore and Kilmacow ahead of the Junior, Intermediate and Senior hurling finals on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday – Bennettsbridge v St. Patrick’s Ballyragget

After last weekend’s thriller in Nowlan Park, Bennettsbridge and Ballyragget have to do it all over again to see who’s going to be crowned Intermediate champions in Kilkenny and head to senior level for 2016.

To make it more interesting, the winners will host Kildare’s Coill Dubh less than 24 hours later as the Leinster GAA hurling championships are underway on Sunday.

Thrown-in for the replay is 3pm on Saturday afternoon at Nowlan Park and we’ll have full commentary and analysis from Brendan Hennessy and Michael Walsh

Sunday – Junior & Senior Double Header

We’re live on our Kilkenny frequency from Nowlan Park on Sunday afternoon from 1pm beginning with the Junior hurling championship final between Glenmore and Kilmacow. After relegation last year, Glenmore will be looking to return to Intermediate hurling but Kilmacow have their eyes on the prize as well. Thrown-in there is 1.15pm.

At 3.15pm, the 2013 champions and last year’s beaten finalists Clara take on 2010 champions O’Loughlin Gaels in what should be a fiercely contested game.

We’ve got full commentary and analysis of both games with Brendan Hennessy and Michael Walsh while Adrian Ronan will be on the sidelines to get up close and personal with all the action.

Sunday – Palatine vs Portlaoise/Emo

We won’t know Palatine’s opposition until Saturday night but they’ll have rest and recovery on their side as whoever is crowned Laois senior football champions have around 16 hours to get focused for their trip to Netwatch Cullen Park.

Kevin McGillycuddy leads the action with full commentary on our Carlow frequency from 2.30pm.

Don’t forget that you can catch all the action in Carlow and Kilkenny this weekend online too on KCLR96FM.com or via the Irish Radioplayer app.
