Kilkenny Senior Hurling Manager Brian Cody says that having competition for places makes training very very competitive.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s All-Ireland Final showdown with Tipp, Brian outlines the importance of having places up for grabs in every game they play.
He said “Going into every match injury free is everybody’s hope, but it is very very hard for that to happen, but we have been getting players back that’s for sure”.
“It’s there, it has to be there (competition for places), I mean if there wasn’t competition for places, you wouldn’t have a team because that’s what makes training really competitive and training is really good, and the reality is places are up for grabs everyday we go out”.
