The skies over Carlow Town will be lit up in the coming months as plans for floodlights at the home of Carlow GAA have got the green light.
The county council has given the green light to plans to put up four pillars at the corners of Netwatch Cullen Park which cost in the region of €350,000.
Work is to begin shortly and is expected to be finished by the end of August.
New Chairman Sean Campion says its exciting and “a great foresight to the previous chairman Michael Meaney who lead the drive to have this done”.
