Leinster, Ireland, Lions, and London Irish legend Sean O’Brien could be in line to finish up his playing career in the maroon and white of his beloved Tullow.
The Ardistan man announced recently that this will be his final season in professional rugby and will hang up the boots when the season with London Irish finishes.
Speaking to Full-Time last night, his sister Alex O’Brien says it remains to be seen if he will or not but would be a fitting end if he did.
“It’s a question that I don’t think he even knows the answer to, but absolutely 100%, if there’s a will there’s a way and he will definitely want to put on a Tullow jersey again and finish where he started,” said Alex.
“That’s always something he has said from the off, he’ll finish his career in Tullow, and I really do hope he gets to do that because I know how special Tullow is to him and the work that he has put into the club since the beginning has been outstanding and it’s a credit to him as well”.
“For that day to come would be the real finishing of the whole career as a whole”.
