Tullow women’s team is into the Paul Flood Cup semi-final.
They were in round two action at the weekend against Tullamore at the Black Gates and came out on top of a tight game 7-0.
Alex O’Brien got the try with Catherine Dempsey converting.
Tullow Maroons v Carlow
The ‘Tullow Maroons’ (Tullow Under 17 team) played against Carlow in the Under 18.5 South East League in Carlow.
Carlow came out on top in this clash 24-15.
Shane Duffy and Conor Elliott got Tullow’s tries with Peter Burgess scoring one conversion and one penalty.
Rhinos
The combined Carlow/Tullow U16 side (Rhinos) won their first match against Enniscorthy at the weekend.
They scored an incredible 50 points to the Wexford’s side’s 19.
The Rhinos is a newly formed girls’ joint initiative between Tullow and Carlow Rugby Clubs.
They are also looking for new players to come and join our teams at U14 and U16 levels.
