Danesfort Senior Hurling manager Anthony McCormack says the three month break from competitive action does nobody any good.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of tomorrow evenings (Saturday) clash against Ballyhale Shamrocks in the Kilkenny Senior hurling league, Anthony says Clubs need to change their mindset regards possible changing to the club fixture list…..
“It’s kind of laid out for us and every team knows that their is the possibility of a break going to be there like”
“I suppose before we were lucky in Kilkenny we were in a Leinster Final and straight into an All-Ireland Semi-Final and maybe clubs will have to have a change of mindset there because with Galway coming into it and Wexford coming back strong now, you can’t assume that’s going to happen every year now so clubs will probably have to adapt their training to it but it won’t do any team any good”
“Obviously, haven’t played a competitive game for so long but I think clubs were prepared for it”
