Former Wexford Senior Hurler Tom Dempsey says that Davy Fitzgerald’s tenure as Wexford Senior manager has been a success.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of the Wexford and Kilkenny League clash on Sunday, Tom says that the Wexford manager has made them competitive again.

He said “I think overall looking at Davy’s whole situation over the last couple of years, he has brought us on an awful lot, we have become competitive, the next step is to try and go ahead and go to an All-Ireland Semi-Final and maybe get some kind of a League win or whatever and that is important, I think overall, he will be judged kindly if he does decide to go this year or whatever”.

“Kilkenny are without the Shamrocks guys Cillian Buckley, a few guys like that, Wexford have a reasonably full-pack and I think Wexford should put their best team out, find their positions, put Lee Chin in his best position, get out there and I think it’s important that we win the game next Sunday”.
