Davy Russell says connections deserves credit for the way they remained very patient with Presenting Percy who belatedly made his seasonal debut when winning the Galmoy Hurdle yesterday at Thyestes Day in Gowran Park.
Speaking after the race Davy says the Gold Cup favorite has been trained very professionally.
“He has been around, he has been to the festival twice obviously and obviously has been trained by a very professional man in Pat Kelly, and again I suppose the owner has to get an awful lot of credit as well”.
Davy said “Getting his three feet just to run him, you would love to run him but Anne and Philip (Reynolds) obviously went along and trusted Pat”.
