Former Kilkenny defender JJ Delaney expects that Ballyhale Shamrocks greater forward power to be the difference when they play James Stephens in Sunday’s County Senior Semi-Final.

Speaking to KCLR, JJ says they are getting their full team back to full fitness.

“They have natural forwards there and I think they will be too strong for the village as well but look, I think they are going to earn the win against Village.

“The Village never lie down against Ballyhale there as well and they will put it to them, but I think Ballyhale should have enough now especially with the three lads (Inter-County players) showing their form and getting their full team back up to full fitness there.

“The likes of Michael Fennelly having a couple of games there the last couple of weekends there as well will bring him on a huge amount there as well and we know what sort of a player he is for Kilkenny let along Ballyhale, that will be a massive plus for Ballyhale as well,” he said.
