With three local sides still in the competition at kick-off, it’s Tullow who bow out and wrap their season up with a 31-27 defeat at the hands of Dundalk, despite having lead early on.

Kilkenny were 34-20 winners on the road to Edenderry while Carlow had a 16-point shutout win over Navan in Meath.

The third round draw also took place in Newbridge after their second-round tie with Clondalkin and serves up a tasty local derby for the first quarter-final fixture.
