Dicksboro Bord Na Nog Secretary Fergal Murphy says no one within the club minds been tired or drained out after two epic weekends in which they achieved Hurling, Camogie and Gaelic Football success over the last two weekends.

Speaking to KCLR, Fergal says winning made the journey so much easier…..

“We had 400-500 people in Palmerstown on the Sunday night so it was a terrific weekend”

“We are all physically and mentally drained after it and then I suppose the team, the boys and the girls and their management had to go to Monaghan the weekend just gone so that was equally tiring and draining but I suppose no one minds been tired or stressed when your winning so tremendous achievement we are delighted”

Meanwhile Chairman of Kilkenny City Ladies Gaelic Football Club John Gorey says they defied the odds in defeating a highly fancied New York Team to win in Sunday’s Division Two Feile Final.

Speaking to KCLR, John says they received incredible support in Monaghan…

“We came in under the radar in every game, and everyone took their eye off the little girls from Kilkenny. The support we got from counties actually Kilkenny go on and win it”

“The first official from Monaghan said to me when he saw my crest, there is no hurling on here today and he started laughing and he said I believe ye have a fair little team coming in here and I said, everyone just said look it, New York are the serious team”
