Dicksboro, Freebooters & Kilfane on the shortlist for June’s Kilkenny Sport Star Award

The nominees for June’s David Buggy Motors Kilkenny Sports Star Awards are in.

Dicksboro GAA Club, Freebooters AFC and Kilfane Handball Club are in the running for June’s award, coming on the back of Presentation Secondary School’s win in May’s round of voting.

The three clubs have enjoyed great gains in recent months culminating with silverware for all three across June – Dicksboro taking Feile hurling and camogie honours, Freebooters taking the Premier Division Cup and Kilfane Handball Club taking junior handball Feile honours to match.

Dicksboro GAA Club continue to go from strength to strength at junior grades and their recent showings at the Hurling and Camogie Feile in June further highlight the growing abilities of younger members of the club.

Runner up to Evergreen in the St. Canice’s Credit Union Premier Division in Kilkenny, Freebooters A finished their season winning the Premier Division Cup with a 4-2 defeat of Thomastown United A with the club making great developments over 2016/17 including new additions to Fairgreen.
