In recognition of their outstanding All-Ireland triumph, Dicksboro has secured a notable eight positions on the Team of the Year.

The Kilkenny club celebrated a year of remarkable achievements, securing their inaugural Leinster title by overcoming St. Vincents of Dublin. Their success continued with a triumph over Ulster champions Loughgiel Shamrocks of Antrim in the All-Ireland semi-final, culminating in a historic victory over defending champions Sarsfields (Galway) in the All-Ireland final.

The distinguished Dicksboro players earning positions on the Team of the Year are as follows:

  • Full Back Line: Jane Cass (Dicksboro) and Katie Byrne (Dicksboro)
  • Half Back Line: Ciara Phelan (Dicksboro)
  • Midfield: Aobha O’Gorman (Dicksboro)
  • Half Forwards: Asha McHardy (Dicksboro) and Amy Clifford (Dicksboro)
  • Full Forward Line: Caitrin Dobbin (Loughgiel Shamrocks)

This impressive representation underscores the depth of talent within the Dicksboro ranks, reflecting their journey from clinching the maiden Leinster title to ultimately securing the All-Ireland championship.
