This year’s Kilkenny Poc Fada, a joint event between Kilkenny GAA and Kilkenny Camogie, took place at Gowran Park on Thursday evening.

Over 80 participants across juvenile and adult hurling and camogie teams were out on the course to put their striking for the test ahead of next weekend’s provincial championships.

Clara’s Killian Phelan and Lisdowney’s Noelle Murphy were crowned winners of this year’s adult grades, while Naomh Bríd’s Jane Holohan sealed the Under 16 title on the camogie side.

The men’s Under 16 competition couldn’t be settled on the night (a tie) so that will be re-run at a later date.

Winners now go on to represent Kilkenny in the Leinster Poc Fada with the provincial decider heading to Mount Leinster with Carlow GAA and Carlow Camogie on Saturday 25 June.
