St Kierans College and Senior Camogie manager Brian Dowling hit fixture quagmire at the weekend as fixture clash causes headache
Kilkenny will make the trip to Parnell Park in Dublin on Saturday for round 4 of the Very National Camogie League with a throw-in time of 2 pm, at 12.45 pm St Kierans College is scheduled to play Cashel Community School in the Masita GAA Post Primary Schools Croke Cup (Senior A Hurling) All-Ireland semi-final in Nenagh. Dowling is the manager of both teams and has a big decision to make, which game will he attend?
Speaking after the Kitten’s loss to Galway at the weekend Dowling told KCLR:-
“I was trying the very best the last week to work around it in fairness to the colleges our game is at 12.45 I was trying to get the Camogie to 4.30 but no joy there unfortunately, I’m very disappointed I’m going to have to miss one of the games which is obviously not what I want, I can’t be in two places at one time.
“I was hoping to get to the two games. I looked for half-four in Parnell but I was told it can’t happen very disappointing I wanted to be in the two places as both teams mean a huge amount to me and I won’t be in one place obviously but we have a good management team in place and we just have to drive it on”.
