With Kilkenny and Carlow both securing wins over Dublin and Kildare respectively on Wednesday night, the draws for the semi final stages of the 2017 Bord Gais Energy U21 Leinster Hurling Championship semi finals have been made.
Carlow’s reward for their 1-21 to 2-14 victory over Kildare is a meeting with Wexford, who were 4-21 to 2-09 winners over at Innovate Wexford Park. Wexford park will be the venue for a 7.30pm throw in.
Westmeath needed extra time to get by Laois with two points to spare and having knocked Kilkenny out at the quarter final stages in 2016, they will lock horns once more with Kilkenny on 21 June. That game throws in at 7.30pm at TEG Cusack Park, Mullingar.
This year’s final is booked for Wednesday 5 July, a venue yet to be confirmed.
