Draws made for knockout stages of JJ Kavanagh & Sons football championships in Kilkenny

Mullinavat will continue the defence of their senior football title in Kilkenny with a home tie against Dicksboro in the quarter-finals of this year's county championship.

Springtime means football season in Kilkenny and we’re getting into the business end of things with the draws made on Monday evening for the JJ Kavanagh & Sons senior and intermediate football championship knockouts.

Dates and times are TBC but here’s how things are looking for the weeks ahead as league champions Mullinavat look to make it back-to-back senior football county titles once again.

  • Thomastown v Danesfort/Kilmoganny
  • Mooncoin v Clara
  • Mullinavat v Dicksboro
  • Tullogher Rosbercon v James Stephens

Danesfort v Kilmoganny serves as a relegation semi-final and all games above are “winner on the day”

JJ Kavanagh & Sons intermediate football championship quarter-final draw

  • Barrow Rangers v Piltown
  • Lisdowney v Graigue Ballycallan/Blacks & Whites

Junior championship latest

St. Patrick’s are already through to this year’s JJ Kavanagh & Sons junior football championship semi-finals thanks to a 4-7 to 0-7 win over Muckalee earlier this month.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) sees Railyard host Windgap in the quarter-final stages at 7pm while Galmoy and Young Irelands will meet on Sunday week (30 April) at 11am for their quarter-final clash.
