Kilkenny Senior Camogie Forward Miriam Walsh says Dublin proved to be a tough nut to crack despite running out twelve point winners to record a second consecutive victory in Division 1A of the National League in Callan on Saturday.
Speaking after the game on Saturday, Miriam says the introduction of Joint Captain Anna Farrell at half-time brought a greater improvement.
She told KCLR Sport “I just thought the backs were really physical and tough, and we knew coming into Callan today that we were expecting a tough physical side because Dublin always give it their all and we knew we wouldn’t get anything too easy so we didn’t underestimate them either”.
“Anna made some difference there when she came on, I suppose her movement alone created a lot of space for the forwards so it really was a difference, Anna coming in there and sure I suppose it’s great to see someone like her on the line, but she won’t be on it for long”.
