Dublin Senior Hurling Manager Mattie Kenny says that Carlow’s performance against them last Saturday night augurs well for them for the rest of the National League.
Carlow are at home to Galway next Sunday and Mattie says that Carlow’s attitude against them was top class.
He told KCLR after last Saturday nights game “They brought a huge intensity, I thought especially in the first-half, I thought they bossed our midfield a bit”.
“I thought Jack Kavanagh was instrumental in a lot of that stuff around there and Martin “Mouse” (Kavanagh) was coming out coming playing off the centre back a good bit and timing his runs well, and they took the game to Dublin in that first-half”.
He said “They (Carlow) were good value for their two-point lead at half time, but as the game wore on then in the second-half, we got the few scores and we got a goal at the vital time which was a big score, but I was impressed with Carlow’s attitude and the way they applied themselves on the pitch”.
