Cuala Senior Hurler Shane Stapleton says that it’s essential that Dublin lay down a marker this evening against Carlow in Round 3 of the National League.

Shane is a twice Club All-Ireland Medal winner with Cuala and speaking exclusively to KCLR, he says they are well primed to deal with Carlow’s deficiencies.

He said “Dublin need to make sure they are beating the teams that they feel like that they should be beating or the general public should if they are going to be a real challenger, from Carlow’s point of view”.

“I think just 0-23 scored in two games isn’t enough, obviously they are going to need to do more of that, experience of beating Dublin in the Under-21 Championship 5 or 6 years ago so definitely Dublin will be looking to lay down a marker and I just think Carlow seem a bit short handed at the moment, and Dublin probably are in a position to take advantage”.
